You may volunteer on the weekends once your Supplemental Paths (training period) is through, but you may not BEGIN volunteering on the weekends or after 5 p.m. Your first 15 hours must be served while the Volunteer Services staff is here to assist you. Once you have become more familiar with the hospital, you may change your schedule to include weekends and/or evenings.
Adults may apply at any time during the year.
All prospective volunteers must pass a criminal background check. Prospective volunteers must also visit Memorial Hermann’s Occupational Health Department for a TB Screening and a Drug Screening (TB Skin test and drug screen are provided free of charge).
