OB Tours
There's nothing
more exciting than anticipating the birth of your baby. At Memorial
Hermann, there's nothing more important to us than ensuring that every
woman's childbirth experience is as memorable and positive as possible.
Our
staff makes all the difference. We go beyond meeting the needs of mother
and baby to include the whole family. In fact, some say we become part
of the family.
Your first trimester
of pregnancy is not too
soon to begin deciding where you want to have your baby. Not all hospitals
are the same. You may wish to tour
labor and delivery areas and nurseries of several hospitals. After all,
the only way to know which hospital is right for you is to visit and
meet the staff.
Pre-registering
for your hospital stay and anesthesia by your fourth month of pregnancy
speeds the admission process and offers you the opportunity to discuss
financial or insurance concerns well before your baby's birth.
All of our hospitals
offer fully equipped nurseries for healthy newborns and those requiring
Level II neonatal care. And within the Memorial Hermann family, accessible
by ambulance or Memorial Hermann
Life Flight if necessary, you'll find the highest level of neonatal
intensive care services available (Level III) at Children's Memorial
Hermann Hospital, Memorial
Hermann Memorial City and Memorial
Hermann Southwest.
To help you prepare
for your baby's birth and give you the knowledge and confidence to care
for your infant at home, check
out our whole range of childbirth and child-care classes and register
on MyWellness – Personal Health Manager to track
your pregnancy.
