Memorial Hermann Fort Bend Hospital Forms Patient and Family Advisory Council

Texas, December 6, 2005 – Demonstrating its commitment to providing exceptional, patient-centered care at their facility, Memorial Hermann Fort Bend Hospital is forming a patient and family advisory council. The council will bring patients and families together to share their input on hospital services and care options. The council’s first meeting will take place in January.
“Here at Memorial Hermann Fort Bend, our commitment every day is to create a compassionate, healing, patient- and family-centered environment. Strengthened communication and collaboration among patients, families, caregivers and the Memorial Herman Fort Bend staff, is in keep with our commitment,” said CEO Rod Brace.
The advisory council will continue to play an important role when facility operations move to the new Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital, scheduled to open in December of 2006. In addition to leading-edge patient facilities, the new hospital will offer a full range of outpatient services in the Professional Office Building next door the to hospital beginning in the Spring of 2006. Services include: imaging, lab, day surgery, a sleep medicine and physical, occupational and speech therapy.
