Dr. Steve Allen
Named CEO, Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital

Houston,
Texas, October 1, 2004 – Memorial Hermann Hospital Chief
Medical Officer, Steve Allen, M.D., has been named CEO of Memorial
Hermann Children’s Hospital effective Oct. 1.
A 22-year
member of Memorial Hermann Hospital’s medical staff,
Allen has been chief medical officer since 1996. He is also
a tenured professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at
The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. |

He will continue
to serve as Memorial Hermann Hospital’s interim chief
medical officer.
Allen is board
certified in anesthesiology and critical care medicine. He earned
his doctor of medicine degree from The University of Texas
Medical Branch-Galveston
after completing undergraduate studies at Rice University. He served
his critical care medicine fellowship at The University of Texas
Medical School-Houston.
