Kisses
Lift Spirits of Pediatric Patients at Memorial
Hermann Children’s
Hospital
Houston, Texas,
March 30, 2004 – Huge
smiles broke out on the pediatric patients’ faces when colorful
Hershey’s Chocolate Kiss characters bounced in to visit the
kids at Memorial Hermann Children’s
Hospital. The sweet, cartoon-like personalities arrived Tues.,
Mar. 30 at 10 a.m. in a 26 foot-long, 12 foot-tall Hershey’s
Kissmobile, a kid-pleasing vehicle with a row of three giant Hershey’s
Kisses on top.

"It’s
always terrific to work with the outstanding staff at Memorial Hermann
Children's Hospital, so we made this the first hospital visit
of the year for our far-out vehicle and its shiny-wrapped passengers
and it will undoubtedly be one of the most memorable,” said Carrie
Christopher, Public Relations Coordinator for the Hershey’s Kissmobile. “We
get a big kick out of seeing the kids’ faces light up and knowing
that we’re helping to ease the boredom of having to stay in bed.”
The
annual visit by the Hershey’s Kissmobile – which sees
its crew handing out chocolate candies along with good cheer – is
one of the many activities at Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital
that provide a special kind of “therapy for the spirit”.
