Original works of art created especially for the chapel at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital are unveiled and dedicated at a special ceremony.

Hankey, volunteer Pat Fortune and Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital CEO Wayne Voss surround Faces of Faith, an original sculpture in fired clay. The sculpture depicts various human faces of all ages and nationalities and is designed to welcome all who enter the chapel, regardless of their religious background.

Members of the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Volunteer Organization share in the dedication of Prayers: A Sacred Sampler, quilted by The Rev. Terry Thomas Primer, a New Jersey artist and chaplain. The 60-inch square quilt, commissioned by Memorial Hermann Memorial City Chaplaincy Services, was designed to reflect the swirl of emotions a hospital stay can engender for patients and their families, surrounded by windowpanes representing the mix of compassion and technology that make hospitals sanctuaries of hope and comfort.
