Impairment Ratings for the Texas Workers Compensation Commission
Employees injured on the job may be referred for an impairment rating once they have reached maximal medical improvement. An impairment is defined as a deviation from the normal functioning of a body part. The workers compensation impairment rating is designed to provide an estimate of the degree that an individual’s ability to perform the activities of daily living has been diminished by an injury.
Our professional staff has completed the approved training to perform impairment ratings for all injured workers, including workers under the jurisdiction of the Texas Workers Compensation Commission.
We work with our clients’ physicians to secure the required measurements, allowing physicians to make an accurate and informed estimate of impairment in a full range of orthopedic injuries.
