Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine - Functional Capacity Evaluations

Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital

Center for Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine

Functional Capacity Evaluations

Functional capacity evaluations (FCE) assess an individual’s maximum physical performance level on a variety of functional activities. Following testing, our clients’ performance level can be compared to the physical demands of their on-the-job responsibilities to determine whether they can safely meet the physical demands of employment.

FCE assessments include:

  • Lifting
  • Carrying
  • Pushing and pulling
  • Positional tasks required in daily work environments

Upon completion of the assessment, our physical and occupational therapists can make recommendations for job modifications, work limitations or the need for further rehabilitation to increase strength or endurance to meet the physical demands of the job.

For more information, call the Memorial Hermann Physical Therapy Clinic in Pearland at 281-485-4044.
