Physical Therapy Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect at the first treatment?
A licensed physical therapist will evaluate your need for treatment and recommend specific activities and exercises.

How long do visits usually last?
The first visit lasts about an hour and a half. Additional visits may last one hour, depending on your treatment plan.

What type of clothing should I wear?
All lower extremity (knee and ankle) patients should wear shorts or some type of clothing that can be rolled up easily for treatment. Other patients may choose any attire as long as it’s loose-fitting and comfortable.

Will my insurance cover physical therapy?
Most insurance companies, including Medicare, Workers Compensation, PPOs, HMOs and other private insurance, cover physical therapy prescribed by your doctor. We will be happy to verify your coverage if you call any of our locations below.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 281-929-4475. For physician referral, call 713-222-CARE (2273).
