During
Your Stay
Recovery from alcohol and drug abuse is a lifelong process. It is most successful when it begins in a stable, supportive community environment.
During your stay
at PaRC, you will have access to a family atmosphere that includes
semi-private rooms and balanced, nutritious meals. Social
integration is an important part of your recovery, whether you are
relaxing with your family in the recreation room or interacting with
other patients.
Rooms
To foster recovery, clients live with roommates to diminish
feelings of isolation. Roommates support each other during what
can be a difficult time. Each semi-private room has two twin beds and
a bathroom.
Meals
Proper nutrition is critical in the first stages of recovery – the body
needs healthy food to repair itself. Many people with addictions tend to be so
focused on those addictions that they neglect proper nutrition.
PaRC’s nutrition team provides three balanced meals a day plus around-the-clock snacks, including salad and sandwich bars. Nutrition classes are also available to help you learn proper eating habits.
Family
During recovery,
your focus should be on healing. Family and friends are welcome to
visit during designated visiting hours only.
Each patient is
scheduled for a “family day” sometime during his or her
stay. Designated family days are Thursdays and Saturdays.
Family aftercare,
held Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings, includes family education,
counseling sessions with licensed counselors and additional support
from other families in the program.
Recreation
Your recovery process includes relaxation. When you have free time, you can relax in the recreation room by watching movies, playing pool or other games.
Friends and family are welcome to join you in the recreation room
when they visit on family day. |
