What is MIS?

What is CAS?
In CAS computers are used to maximize the benefits of the implanted joint. Using this innovative, leading-edge equipment allows for positive outcomes previously unattainable
CAS uses computers and other instrumentation to achieve a computer-generated 3-D model of the anatomy of the joint both before and during surgery. This technique offers a degree of accuracy unattainable without the use of computers.
The computer-generated model offers valuable information about your joint, including angles, axis and distances. Using this information can ensure an anatomical and physiological alignment of the prosthetic implant with your natural body structure and function.
Simply put, CAS allows optimization of the placement of the implanted knee or hip. The results for the patient after surgery are remarkable – greater range of motion, stability and mobility, as well as less wear and tear on the implant.
