Radiography Program

Want to be part of the rewarding and exciting practice of radiography?

It is the mission of this program to provide education in both theory and practice in the field of radiography. By establishing a well-balanced combination of technical skills and didactic education, we endeavor to develop radiographers possessing the intellectual, technical, moral and social qualities, which enable them to fulfill the responsibilities of their profession, conscious of their obligation to mankind and to themselves.

Our program has an obligation to the health service field in this community to graduate well-trained, skilled radiologic technologists to fill the need of the medical community while providing the best in patient care.

Radiography training is a full-time, Monday - Friday course of study, including classroom and clinical education in the use of radiation to produce images. Students participate in observation rotations in specialty imaging such as M.R.I., ultrasound and nuclear medicine.

  • Work as radiographers in hospital, clinical or doctor's office settings
  • Take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists exam (national board certification examination)
  • Apply for a general license (MRT) in the state of Texas
