Phlebotomy Technician Program

Phlebotomy Technician Program

Compassionate and responsible? Enjoy working with the young and elderly alike? Ready for the challenges of a health care setting? The Phlebotomy Technician Program can lead to an exciting career in health care.

As a vital member of the health care team, phlebotomy technicians assist in the collection and transportation of specimens for clinical laboratory analyses. Patient preparation, equipment and supply selection, as well as technical skills are components of specimen collection that contribute to quality patient care.

Phlebotomy technicians are responsible for performing venipunctures and capillary punctures in order to obtain blood specimens. In addition, they may be involved in the collection and/or transportation of other specimen types, such as urine specimens and throat cultures.

Our program includes both classroom theory and clinical experiences and can be completed in less than three months. This may be your opportunity to begin the rewarding practice of phlebotomy in the field of health care.
