Advanced Mammography Program

Program Overview

Duration

The advanced-level mammography program is a six-week course of study offered in June and December.

Commitment

Students will receive notebook, objectives and homework assignments two weeks before session starts. Homework and reading should be completed before classroom session starts. The time allocation varies with individual students.

Classes are held at the Technical Education Center and on site at Memorial Hermann campuses as space allows and with approval from your participating employer.

Schedule

Students will attend classroom instruction from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Clinical rotations are scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students may request additional rotations to complete required competencies.

For policies concerning sick days or personal days, students should consult the student policy guidelines available upon registration.

Tuition

Tuition fees total $1,000. Incidental expenses such as parking fees, meals, transportation and extras are the responsibility of the student.

Financial Assistance

Students do not receive a salary or stipend while enrolled. The school does not participate in federally secured loans or grants (Pell Grant, etc.).

Dress Code

Surgical scrubs are required for the course.
