Hermann-Texas Medical Center
The Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center Department of Pharmacy offers a comprehensive residency program including PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Critical Care residencies.
Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, a 769-bed tertiary care teaching hospital founded in 1925 as the first hospital in the Texas Medical Center, is part of 12-hospital Memorial Hermann system, one of the largest not-for-profit systems in the nation.
Within Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center is Children’s Memorial
Hermann Hospital, a 178-bed facility providing
comprehensive services to a Level III Neonatal Unit and diverse pediatric
populations.
Clinical specialists
maintain active practices in surgical/trauma, neurosciences, cardiology/cardiovascular
surgery, internal medical, transplant, neonatal, and pediatric critical
care environments as well as internal medicine and general surgery.
Both Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center and Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital serve as the primary teaching site for The University
of Texas Medical School at Houston. The residency program also maintains
a relationship with the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, which
provides clinical and operational experiences for pharmacy students.
