The best place to have a mammogram is at the Memorial Hermann Breast Center at TMC. The technology now enables a painless mammogram procedure. No more jokes about what a woman has to undergo for a mammogram. The new Memorial Hermann Breast Center at TMC is a beautiful, comforting place. The staff is most kind, polite and pleasant. The registrars especially Ms. Willie was most accommodating. The arrangements were first-rate. After the procedure I was surprised to receive flowers from the nicest technician. As for medical care, I would hesitate to go somewhere else but Memorial Hermann Hospital. The ER staff is the finest. Both my children were born at Hermann and to this day, we still take them to the medical center campus for medical care when needed. I just know that I and my family will receive the best care, and I am very proud to work for Memorial Hermann. I would not consider working anywhere else.

I have had 7 heart catheterizations performed at Memorial Hermann-TMC in the past several years by Dr Richard Smalling. At the last cath I had in 2005, I told one of the attendants in the cath lab that this was the seventh time I had been there and had not gotten "so much as a dirty old T-shirt." After they had put in the 16th stent and I was in my room, there was a knock on the door. When we opened the door, the staff from the cath lab, nurses, doctors and administrators were there with a basket of fruit and other goodies, including a T-Shirt. Dr. Smalling said that all I had to do was ask. This really touched me and showed me how much the staff and doctors care for their patients. May God bless you for your caring.

I have been a nurse with this System for more than 13years, as well as having been a patient here many times before and during that time frame. I have found that Memorial Hermann is just a great place to be. Whether you are a patient, an employee or a visiting family member, you will find smiling faces, shoulders to lean on, and empathetic hearts everywhere. I take great pride in my job and love working here so much that I drive 47 miles one way to work here and don't mind it one bit, even with gasoline nearly $3/gallon. I am proud to call Memorial Hermann my second "home."

Memorial Hermann/WorkLink
Being a nurse for over 20 years, I am very excited to be a part of Memorial Hermann/WorkLink. Our team is able to work with injured workers, and we are able to offer them the best care possible. In 2006, I received the Nurse Spectrum Clinical Care Award for the SE division. WorkLink is making a difference in helping injured workers by helping them navigate the healthcare system, managing their care, listening to their goals and being able to work with a team of doctors and other healthcare professionals that care about people to help the injured worker meet their goals. We have the best facilities and technology available to help with the rehabilitation of devastating injuries.
I am very happy to work with the team of doctors and other healthcare professionals at TIRR and the multiple Memorial Hermann facilities in the Houston and surrounding areas. What I have seen from my vast experience in health care is that Memorial Hermann cares about people and I, along with my team, am committed to the people we work with every day. I am happy to be able to be part of Memorial Hermann in order to better help not only our own employees that sustain injury but other injured workers in the community.

My father-in-law was transferred from a hospital in Liberty County to Memorial Hermann Memorial City in November of 2003. After a week-long stay, his condition had not improved enough for him to be discharged home. He was admitted to the Gessner LTAC. After 3 months there, his condition did not permit him to live on his own. We investigated our options and decided on Memorial Hermann Spring Shadows Pines. The staff there gave him extremely good care. Between my sister-in-law and I, we stopped in to visit with him almost every day. He required total care and I cannot say enough about the staff there. He passed away in January of 2005. We miss him and are grateful for the loving care he received at The Pines.

One of Memorial Hermann’s Greatest Achievements in the last 100 years: One of the first if not the first multi-hospital, not-for-profit System in the country. Being a system is the foundation for who we are today.

I truly believe one of our greatest achievements over the past 100 years has been to remain focused on the real reason we are all here – to care for the patients and our community. Our organization has endured many changes and struggles over the years, but we have developed our processes, technologies and healthcare delivery model around the patients. We have continually developed ways to treat our patients clinically, physically and spiritually through our continued emphasize by our nurses, physicians and support staff. Although the tactical way we deliver healthcare to our patients has changed frequently over the years, our soul and mission has remained the same – to care and love our patients and their families!

Prior to joining Memorial Hermann just 8 short weeks ago, I worked in Christian Ministry for over five years. I did not know what to expect, but I knew I wanted to begin a career in the healthcare industry. I figured that in a healthcare environment I could continue to serve/work in a capacity that helped people.
What I discovered, to my absolute delight, is that Memorial Hermann is similar to Christian Ministry. I have come to look at Memorial Hermann as a large mega church with locations all over Houston and each department represents a Ministry whose purpose is to serve and meet the needs of the people in that respective area.
I joined the Guest Services “Ministry” and I am so very proud of the passion and dedication of the team of individuals who work tirelessly to ensure that the needs of our patients are being met. Watching them work I can see and feel the love they have for what they do.
I see that same passion all over our campus. From the Volunteer “Ministry” to the “Cafeteria Ministry”, I am proud of the overall attitude and spirit of the employees I have encountered. I feel blessed to be a part of this organization as well as proud of it’s commitment to overall patient satisfaction.
